Summer Trends..

Across the UK we are finally beginning to see some sunshine following, what has seemed, the longest Winter on record. With sunshine comes fresh new summer hair, and at RHBC headquarters we like to ensure we keep you up to date with the latest looks to hit the streets and the salons!

This summer it is clear we are ditching the bohemian low maintenance look and are keeping our locks in tact with GHD straighteners and bobby pins. The Spring/Summer catwalks were fresh with straight hair and low ponytails and buns, where hair out of place was not really an option. The good thing about these styles is that you can go straight from the office to a night out and still be bang on trend!

For those with shorter locks, you can easily achieve this style by using Real Hair by Clara Euro Straight clip in extensions

Our Latest Industry News:

REAL HAIR BY CLARA TAKES SALONS BY STORM

13 could be deemed as an unlucky number for some, but for Real Hair by Clara this year has only seen success for this high quality, unique hair brand.

Real Hair by Clara, a division of RHBCUK, manufactures beautiful, glossy, natural looking hair extensions, wigs and other products that are easily mistaken for ones own hair. All hair is ethically sourced and products range from 100% REMY Real Hair to 100% cuticle Hair. Each product is designed to make every woman feel strong, confident and beautiful by ensuring she is able to create the style she has always desired.

The brand places great emphasis on marketing products directly to salons via various mediums, and as such Real Hair by Clara products can not be purchased from retail outlets.
From the start of 2013 the Real Hair by Clara marketing team have approached various salons across the UK with promotional packs that provide details about each product including hair samples. Salon managers to date have found the prices extremely competitive and have praised the brand for the quality of the hair.

Clara Alexander, CEO of Real Hair by Clara, is overwhelmed with the positive feedback received from salons, exclaiming, “I am so pleased and encouraged by the great feedback we have received about the Real Hair by Clara brand and the quality of our products. I have always dreamt of our products being used by salons, and remain positive that the durability and versatility of our hair and customer service will ensure the brand’s continued success.”

Salon account holders are provided with a personal account manager who looks after their day to day needs. Salons can order a various range of products from Real Hair by Clara, including bulk hair, clip in extensions, weft extensions and made to order wigs. The hair can be bought in different textures, colours and lengths to ensure they match a client’s natural look.

This is not the first bout of success for the Real Hair by Clara brand. At the end of 2012, the Harriet Wig was listed as a recommended product for cancer patients and alopecia sufferers by the NHS. Real Hair by Clara also stepped into a famous light by sponsoring and supplying hair for the Music Video Screen Awards, as well as for the most emotional wedding of 2012; the wedding of famous footballer Fabrice Muamba. The achievements to date are nothing but impressive and suggest that this brand will soon be entering salons on a national scale.

From July 2013, salons will be able to take advantage of Real Hair by Clara’s unique colour matching service by which hair extensions can be matched to samples provided. This service will be free to salons that open an account during 2013.

Slicked Back Style

Looking for a little edgier hairstyle, then you might want to try the slicked back hair trend that is currently one of the most popular trends we’re seeing on celebrities. The style offers you a completely different option to the usual hair staples of ponytails and buns which you may wear every day. The good news is the style can be pulled off regardless of hair length, texture or colour. The style was extremely popular throughout the winter award seasons with big names such as Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain and Rita Ora all taking to the red carpet wearing the look.

We wouldn’t want the readers of our blog to miss out on this slick style and so we thought we’d prepare a little guide to achieving the perfect slicked back style.

  1. First ensure your hair is slightly damp to begin. For best results, towel dry until slightly damp. If your hair is already dry then add some water to dampen it.
  2. Using a comb not a brush, comb your hair from the front near your forehead to the back. Section it out to make it easier to remove any annoying knots there may be.
  3. Using a wet-look gel apply to the front and sides of your head using the palms of your hands. Running the gel back, be sure to leave the back of your hair gel-free so that it falls back naturally.
  4. With the gel now in the hair use your comb to comb the hair from front to back to create the slick lines the style is known for. Finish with a light layer of hairspray to hold in place and you’re done!

For those of you looking for a softer approach to the look then you might want to consider following Leighton Meester (see above). Using a strong hold hairspray in place of a gel replicate the steps from above, teasing the hair on top to create a fuller, volumised textured look as you bring it back.
